As Much As I Don't Want To

Ok guys so the thing is I just haven't been eating enough lately and its gotten to the point where I think I need to try adding meat to my diet again. I know that kind of changes the dynamic of the blog and stuff but I am going to be doing this slowly.  There will still be plenty of veggie only foods I eat.  A few days ago was my first attempt at adding meat back into my diet.  As a kid I loved taco meat so I decided to start with that.  The picture above is of Meatlover cooking it for me so I didn't have to see it all raw.  The second picture is of my meal.  It was walking tacos and as you can see I have added just a tiny bit of the meat.  Yes, I ate it.

Our First Thanksgiving

This year was Meatlover and I's first Thanksgiving living together.  He couldn't come to the big get together my family was having because of work so I made him a dinner earlier in the week.  We had cottage cheese, deviled eggs, mashed potatos, dinner rolls, steamed corn on the cob, and honey ham with a basic brown sugar glaze.    He loved it and had tons of the ham.  Although he is sick of the leftovers.  I think next year I will get a smaller one.  I decorated our table with a dish towel but I still think it was cute!  Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
What's your favorite Thanksgiving food?

Tater-Tot Cassarole

I absolutly love this meal.  I think I may have even blogged about it before.  But it is just so nice because it is so simple to make and we usually have the ingredients on hand. I also love that Meatlover can easily add beef to his.  Just incase I haven't blogged about it here is the recipe.
Tater-Tot Cassarole
1 can Campbell's garlic and mushroom soup (run it through the blender to eliminate chucks)
1 can of cream of Campbell's celery soup
1 bag of frozen peas
1 bag of frozen corn
several slices of american or good melting cheese
tater-tots
beef

Mix all ingredients except beef and tots together in a pan and heat until veggies are thawed and cheese is melted.  Bake the tots on a cookie sheet and brown up some beef in another pan.  Add part of the veggie and soup mixture to your beef.  Layer the tots on top.  ENJOY!!

He Liked It So I Did It Again!

Because he liked it so much when he wasn't feeling well I made it again for him to take to work.  This time he had the same summer sausage, hard boiled eggs, munster cheese, and crackers.  He also got red grapes and carrots to go along with it.  I did make a little mistake here.  I packaged the crackers with the other things and they got a little mushy.  I won't do that one again.

Protein Filled Lunch

I wanted to give my Meatlover a nice little protein filled lunch as he wasn't feeling very well this day.  I hoped he would feel better after eating.  Here he has summer sausage, a hard boiled egg, munster cheese, and crackers.  He loved it and even had a little more.  I'm not sure if he felt better afterwards but he was happier!

A Buzzy Birthday Cake

My mom's birthday was in September and I made this cake for her all by myself.  The design and all is ALL MINE. I used funfetti cake and did the frosting 1 little spike at a time.  The details are black licorice.  Mom loved the licorice with the frosting!  I was very proud of my work.  Now how do I top it for next year? Any ideas?

Meaty Spaghetti

I feel bad that Meatlover always has to have a vegatarian spaghetti.  This night I decided he would get meat with his spaghetti.  He loved it.  He always puts shredded cheese on his spaghetti which is just odd to me.  I tried to do it too, but I think I like parm better.  What do you guys think?
